What Is Mission Christmas?

Mission Christmas supports children from birth up to age 18 who are living in poverty. Referrals come from schools, social workers and grassroots organisations, ensuring that gifts go directly to children who need them most – those who might otherwise go without. Watch our Videos.

Last year, the Greater Manchester team helped over 36,000 children. This year, demand is even higher, with applications potentially closing early due to overwhelming need. Families are facing impossible choices between heating, food and festive joy and Mission Christmas steps in to make sure joy isn’t off the table.

Why Mid-November Matters

This is the moment. Gift packing starts now, and the team needs donations flowing throughout November and December – not just in the final week. Early support means more children reached, more gifts sorted and more magic delivered on time.

One of the biggest donation gaps? Children aged 12–18. They’re one of the largest age groups supported but often receive the fewest gifts.
